Welcome Letter to Alumni (PDF)

Greetings from Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana

We are delighted to host the 30th Anniversary of the CMC Vellore North American Alumni Reunion also known as the Gathering Of The Clan or GOTC between June 16-19, 2011. This is the first time the event is being held in Indiana. The location is the Marriott Downtown located right in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis, a short walk from many attractions. The host committee includes Bajie and Ravi George, Romani George and Suku John.

"Indy" is a mid sized city located in the Midwest. Because of its location it is easily accessible by road and is referred to as the Crossroads of America. Over 50 percent of US residents and most Ontario residents can drive to Indy in one day. The airport is a 15 minute drive away. It is probably most well known as the racing capital of the world with three major races yearly including the Indy 500. Many amateur sports organizations including the NCAA are headquartered here. It will be the site of Super Bowl 2012. White River State Park and its many attractions is only two blocks away from the hotel.

The GOTC is a great opportunity to meet alumni and renew old ties. We have an exciting Continuing Medical Education and entertainment program and look forward to hosting you. We hope many alumni, including younger and overseas colleagues, will join us as we celebrate 30 good years and plan for the future.

We say "Ind-ia-naplis". How do you say it?
