Prabha "Bobbie" Ugalat was a first-year George Washington Medical School student when she visited CMC for a month during the summer of 1999.   She says the following about her experience:

My CMC/CHAD experience was nice.  I met some amazing people and got the opportunity to see some really interesting cases.  In addition, I had the chance to join several CHAD doctors on Mobile clinic runs to the villages surrounding Vellore.

I was there for a month, as initially planned, but changed my schedule up a little bit.  The Medicine Unit at the hospital that I was assigned to during the first two weeks was extremely busy and the members of the team didn't have much time to spend with me. So I stayed there for a week and used the second week to explore the Pediatrics, Neurology and Physiotherapy departments.  I then spent the last two weeks at CHAD.  This schedule change definitely broadened my experience at CMC!  Regarding accommodations, I had no problem.  They were great.  Ms. Issac, the caretaker, was so friendly and really made me feel comfortable there.
