The Christian History Institute has published an engaging
four-page biography of Dr. Ida S. Scudder with color photos. It's ideal as a church
bulletin insert or a hand-out for a mission program. Or simply for you to read about
this inspiring, inspired woman who defied the odds and ended up leaving a legacy of caring
that's a model around the world. As the Christian Medical College & Hospital,
which started out as a one bed infirmary in 1900, celebrates it's 100th birthday, Dr.
Ida's vision lives on to impact on the health and well being of thousands, often women and
children who could not afford much less get access to health care if it were not for
CMC&H's caring ministry.
