Dr. S. Balasubramanian and his wife Ulhas (both ’58-’59) have been in India doing extraordinary work! The most recent post was “We are now …setting up a full EMS in Maharashtra..” There are photos and an article in the News section.
Thinking about the GOTC coming up in June, and imagining that Annie Venugopal (’67) is relieved that she did that last year (thanks Annie and team!). She has time to plan her daughter Joanne’s wedding in December! Congratulations to all.

That’s right! RUHSA Director Dr. Rita Isaac. Baby Ryan is daughter Judith’s (’02) little one.
Warm congratulations to Dr. Samson Jesudass, MD, who is now SVP of Ascension Physician Services Ascension Health, working with Ascension to develop physician practice management services on a national level. Dr. Jesudass has been at Seton Healthcare in Austin since 1997. Moving into his new assignment, left an opening for Dr. Prathibha Varkey (’91) to join Seton (see below)
Congratulations to Dr. Prathibha Varkey, who was recently named the President and CEO of Seton Clinical Enterprise, which is part of Seton Healthcare Family in Austin, Texas. Seton Clinical Enterprise is made up of non-profit health care organizations and physician practices affiliated with Seton Healthcare Family, including more than 1,600 employed providers and staff. Among them are 420 physicians and 246 medical residents offering more than 40 medical specialties to patients at more than 90 locations. Before joining Seton, Dr. Varkey was a professor of Preventive Medicine and professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
Dr. Judith Aaron (’02) gave birth to this little one, 3 weeks early (!) in January. His name is Ryan, and he and Mom are staying at RUHSA [that’s right — with the new Grandmama, Dr. Rita Isaac (’76)] while she finishes her studies.
